Brain Scans

Dr Cesar Rodriguez talks about the CT scan, or MRI scan that might be offered.

The brain scans that are requested are not always comfortable, because many people feel claustrophobic having to lie inside a piece of medical equipment that has been said to look and sound like a washing machine. But scans help the team see any structural change in the brain that will help them to decide what is going wrong, and what, if anything, can be done to help.

The following online resources give information about MRI scans, CT scans and PET scans, and what you can expect when you are experiencing one.
