Diagnosis - staying well

Professor June Andrews talks about the need to stay well for as long as possible

No one is pleased to be diagnosed with dementia. But for some people it is a relief to be able to put a name to the troubles that took them to the doctor in the first place. It can also provide opportunities to learn how to stay as well as possible for as long as possible. Prof June Andrews describes a number of ideas for how to do this in “Dementia: The One Stop Guide”. On its website, Age Scotland also has useful information about dementia including ideas for staying well.
