Dementia and visual impairment

There has been some really excellent research on how to help a person with dementia who also has visual impairment. This can affect the person’s quality of life quite significantly and really impair their independence. Something as simple as increasing the light levels can make a big difference. Making small changes to your house or flat to improve lighting levels can be a big help. This can be as simple as buying new, brighter LED light bulbs Planners and architects really need to take note. It is not a merely a matter of taste.
