Continuing Success of the Dementia Friendly Outdoor Spaces Project

The project, Paths for All, funded by DSDT and based at Oatridge Agricultural College in West Lothian, Scotland, aims to provide an example and guidance for dementia friendly outdoor spaces. Find out more here.

The works have resumed at Oatridge over the past couple of weeks and are almost complete.

In the past month, Paths for All held two workshops, one on dementia friendly design principles with landscape designer, Marion Preez, and the other focusing on a series of case studies, one being the work of Oatridge by Graeme Anderson and another session being about signage and symbols by Lucy Richards from Studio LR.

Paths for All received very positive reviews about these workshops including one which said:

“I am in my seventies – and today was the first ever Zoom call I have been involved in. I managed – to my relief – to “get there”.  And what an uplifting learning experience it was”
