The Trust received a grant from The Atlantic Philanthropies to work to transform the care of people with dementia in Ireland, North and South, through reframing the perception of dementia. The Dementia Trust has been working for decades, nationally and internationally to improve the lives of people affected by dementia. The below video showcases some of the work funded by the DSDT, including footage from the International Dementia Conference as well as a series of recorded discussions filmed as part of the Dementia Festival of Ideas.
Throughout 2015 and 2016 the Dementia Festival of Ideas funded by the Trust brought together leading politicians, clinicians, academics, policy specialists and communicators to reflect on the current state and future prospects of dementia and politics. This was a year long exploration of the most stimulating thinking, writing and discussion on what dementia means in the 21st Century.
